Mango Point Villa

Mango Point Villa has red roofs, thick island stone walls, and graceful archways set the tone for this distinctive house, nestled in the prestigious Anse Chastanet neighbourhood. Trade winds cool the house at 300 feet above seal level; the home opens all its doors towards the sea, looking out over a tropical garden. Entering the house into the living room you are irresistibly attracted by the large arched doors framed by bougainvilleas, and high cathedral ceilings with hand-carved island wood beams. There are separate wings for sleeping, dining, cooking and leisure which are wrapped around a courtyard shaded by fragrant jasmine vines. Just off the living area, five steps down is the 32-foot x 16-foot private pool which seems almost suspended at the edge of the hillside, with views sweeping across the Soufriere Bay, Caribbean Sea, and Piton mountains.

The large kitchen is Mexican tiled and is well-equipped with an adjacent laundry room. The dining room and living room feature imported Ralph Lauren furniture, while the bedrooms have a West Indian feeling. Two of the master bedrooms have colonial king sized mahogany beds. A few steps down in the garden is the third master suite, Creole-style, with a queen size bed; this room enjoys magnificent views from its private deck.

The bathrooms are all spacious with three walls, showers and separate toilets. The palm-lined Anse Chastanet beach is only a 15-minute walk down from the villa. It is a reef paradise for divers and snorkelers. This home also has an excellent rental history as a vacation home.
